Pillow with Trim

Good morning.  Hope you have had a chance to check out our latest project.  We chose to use a chenille upholstery fabric to make this pillow.  Chenille upholstery is soft and easy to work with and is a fabric that makes a great pillow.  To add a little elegance to our pillow, we chose to put a trim around it.  If you do not want to add the trim, you can certainly omit this step.  We used a pillow form but you could use a loose batting and stuff it that way. 

When doing upholstery projects, a lot of time we have left over fabric and don't know what to do with it.  This is one way of using that extra fabric and it compliments what you have done.  We chose to use the same pattern for both sides, but you can certainly make each side different to give you more options for your décor.   A twill, denim, a heavier drapery, or even another upholstery fabric can certainly be used to give you the look that you want to achieve.  Do not be afraid to experiment with different fabrics.
