Upholstery
Good evening to all and we are finally back. Hope you all had a great holiday weekend. We are going to be blogging about upholstery for a few days. Next week we will be starting an upholstery job. We will be doing this for about a week and a half to two. This way we can give you a more step by step process.
If you are looking for something to upholster, start with something that is small to give you a handle on what it entails. Don't worry if it takes longer than you expect. Actually you will find that taking off the old upholstery will probably take you longer than putting the new on. Use the old piece that you take off as your pattern and you will want to add a little so you have enough to work with. Remember that these pieces are more than likely done in factories. You can always trim away the excess.
If you are looking for upholstery fabric, be sure to check out In-Weave in Hawarden, Iowa. They have a huge selection of upholstery such as chenille, ultra leather, micro suede, jacquard, velvet to name just a few. We will be back tomorrow and share a little more about upholstering before we start our project. Have a great evening.
